Kit taught me how to be kind, empathetic and caring. After my Mum died of cancer, Kit spent the time to talk to me in the right way and as a youngster then, looking back now – their actions were crucial in my ability to bounce back from the hardest moment of my entire life. Kit took the time to write me a letter that I’ll forever grateful for.

Kit Marie Rackley (they/she) is an award-winning educator, author and climate education specialist, and a former secondary Geography and Drama teacher. As Schools Climate Hub Coordinator at the Tyndall Centre for Climate Change Research (University of East Anglia), Kit Marie supports schools to develop meaningful, evidence-informed responses to climate change.
Their work spans teacher professional development, school leadership, geography education and climate science communication.
