Interview: Kate O’Donnell (Exploratorium)

The first of, hopefully many, Geogramblings interviews! I talk to Kate O'Donnell from the Exploratorium museum in San Francisco for Discover the World Education's "International Connections" TeachMeet (broadcast on Thursday 11th June 2020). This blog post gives the full 10-minute edit of the interview, where you can get some examples of teaching & learning resources for your Science, Geography lessons and beyond, no matter where you are in the world! If you like 'geographers' interviewing 'geographers', a plug is also given to a rather Curious Geographer!

On Location: Sustainability in San Francisco

🆕📽️🌍🗣️ On-location video blog! Sustainability in San Francisco - Examples from around the Bay Area of some of sustainable buildings, organisations, networks and communities. This blog features the Exploratorium museum and Urban Ore 'ecopark' amongst others. It was filmed before the coronavirus lockdowns, and so also gives an update how these examples are faring and what they are doing to keep going.

Language, culture, land: Entwined in the soul

A low-key, simple event 'spoke' powerfully to my soul. Language, culture and land.

“Open your eyes and then, open your eyes again”

The @exploratorium's Observatory has that 'hidden treasure' feel about it, but each time you visit and open you eyes, the more wondrous it becomes.
