I don't know why I put myself through it! A love for performing, geography and educating - all rolled into one, I guess! Almost every Geographical Association Conference Teachmeet I get lyrical. This year, I decided to honour the epic efforts and achievements of the team behind developing the Slow Ways.
The first of, hopefully many, Geogramblings interviews! I talk to Kate O'Donnell from the Exploratorium museum in San Francisco for Discover the World Education's "International Connections" TeachMeet (broadcast on Thursday 11th June 2020). This blog post gives the full 10-minute edit of the interview, where you can get some examples of teaching & learning resources for your Science, Geography lessons and beyond, no matter where you are in the world! If you like 'geographers' interviewing 'geographers', a plug is also given to a rather Curious Geographer!
"Geography: Will You Marry Me?" - A piece of performance poetry for the #InspringGeogStories project. Performed at the Geographical Association's Annual Conference (GAConf19) TeachMeet. Click here for the lyrics and recording of the performance.
A message for all students entering an exam period, and the teachers/educators supporting them. You're all incredible. Believe in yourself, and to yourself be kind. Whatever happens, it's just another stepping stone.
"For The Curious!" - A piece of performance poetry with timelapse footage in tribute to the Exploratorium.
