The first three of six #InspiringGeogStories, which will be showcased at the Geographical Association's Annual Conference next week in Manchester. The conference #TeachMeet will feature a piece of performance poetry and the lecture will detail the stories behind the lyrics on conference Thursday (4:20pm). Thanks to Stephen Schwab, Juliette Horsford and Rebecca Carver for their contributions!
I will be giving a presentation at the Geographical Association 2019 conference (April, Manchester), of a collection of real-life stories celebrating the positive impact Geography has on lives, attitudes and experiences. Each will be told in that feel-good way of children’s story time. Some will be nursery rhymes, some short prose, but all will have the same moral: Geography is awesome, inspiring and often life changing. Do you have a such a story to share? Find out more and get in contact.
A message for all students entering an exam period, and the teachers/educators supporting them. You're all incredible. Believe in yourself, and to yourself be kind. Whatever happens, it's just another stepping stone.
